The development of the structure of Management Information Systems (MIS) has brought significant changes in decision-making patterns at various levels of management, both operational and strategic. This study aims to identify the structure of MIS and its role in decision-making. The method used is library research, where the researcher collects literature, books, and previous research reports related to this theme. The results show that the structure of MIS can be detailed into several interrelated subsystems, with the federative concept influencing the integration among elements. Additionally, the role of the common database is crucial in providing integrated information that supports all subsystems. This finding underscores that a well-structured MIS can enhance the quality and efficiency of decision-making within organizations. As a recommendation, organizations should pay more attention to the development of integration among subsystems in MIS to improve operational and strategic effectiveness.
